We are Croatia’s first and only regular English-speaking comedy production, established in June 2023 under the name Zagreb English Comedy. Since then, we have produced more than 200 shows in a variety of venues across the city of Zagreb and beyond, making high-quality English comedy accessible to both locals and international audiences.

In the summer of 2024, we organized the country’s first-ever comedy festival entirely in English, featuring acclaimed guest headliners from Los Angeles, Belgium, and more, and continued in 2026, with two professional headliners from USA, over 20 comics and 500 audience memebers, and expanding into Spanish!

Our collective brings together resident comedians from across the world; including the USA, UK, Canada, Peru, Tajikistan, Croatia, and Serbia, offering a rich mix of perspectives and styles. We host a wide range of events, from headline performances and galas to open mics and touring acts, with the goal of establishing English-language comedy as a lasting part of Croatia’s cultural landscape.

Headline Comedy is produced and hosted by Igor Mondae, a seasoned touring comedian, known for his international comedy career that spans over a decade. Over the years, he built a global presence: performing in 20+ nations and more than 30 cities worldwide - including world-renowed Edinburgh Fringe and Melbourne Comedy Festival, producing more than 2000 shows in total, and co-founding and running the first European tri-lingual comedy club, before launching Headline Comedy and Zagreb Comedy Fest.
